Choosing a saree for the festive season

For pujas and festive gatherings, choose Mangalagiri pattu or a cotton saree with a broad zari border in a deep colour — madder, bottle green or indigo — and add a contrast blouse. For long, hot days, pure cotton is the most comfortable choice.
